Michael Homsey began building in Australia in 1952. He worked as a carpenter on
projects in the Victorian country, Melbourne, Albury and Sydney. John settled
in Randwick Sydney in 1965 and began to build quality renovations, extensions
and new work.
Early in the 1970’s representatives of the then newly formed
Building Services Corporation walked on to one of his sites and offended him by
asking him if he was a builder - John’s colourful response probably meant that
he passed the test and was given one of the first builder’s licences issued.
John
continued to work for loyal clients up until semi retirement in 1986. John’s son
Michael Homsey grew up surrounded by all the builder’s toys and naturally became
interested in the craft. Michael completed Sydney Building Certificate in 1990
and Bachelor of Building Economics at the University of Technology in 1997. Michael
has a genuine interest in the building industry and continues to update and improve
well above the current standards. John’s second son John Paul grew up surrounded
by the same toys. John Paul completed Diploma in Architectural Drafting at the
Sydney Institute of Technology in 1993 and Bachelor of Building Economics at the
University of Technology in the year 2000.
John Paul, through his architectural
background and building knowledge, finds that he can translate the interests of
the architect to the constructed end result.
The trading name J.M.H. Constructions
was formed by Michael in 1992 to honour the faultless record of his father. J.M.H.
Constructions deals in residential client based work that covers all architectural
styles, from the traditional to the contemporary. The workmanship is such, that
an owner will be satisfied with their new home. Michael, with on site building
experience and a degree in Quantity Surveying, will cost all types of Architectural
drawings with a view to seeing the project through to completion.
J.M.H.
Constructions has a solid track record backed by experience and purpose. The intention
is to always faithfully complete the best possible product with an extra layer
of detail, an extra level of live-abilty, that makes JMH constructions stand-alone. | | | | | |
